- Git is a very powerful tool, not least because its use is now universal.
- Existing hacks
- gitweekly - report generator
- Proposed hacks
- For fucks sake I want to be able to see a file's history in some meaningful way. 3D might actually be useful here. Someone must be doing this
- Gource - a software version control visualization tool (git --> 3d but for different purposse)
- Git History Visualizer (this is a deployed netapp, cute, but like Gource not what I am talking abour) (also, insanely draws a hairball but there are no labels or tooltips, so even more useless than it has to be)
- Like, a version of the Mac's Time Machine UI, but one that is actually useful.
- emacsmirror/git-timemachine: Walk through git revisions of a file (ah this looks cool. Not zippy graphics but the right idea, and emacs-based)
- OK, there is nothing like what I am envisioning, I should do it (with excuse that I need to learn GL and 3D stuff, for fucks sake)
